30 Days of Thankfulness Day 4: My Blog

Creating my blog has been one of the best decisions I made in the past six months. I can’t tell you how much it means to me that I can have a way to share my stories to anyone and everyone who would like to see. It’s been a dream of mine for the past five years to have a way that I can share something of mine, and it’s finally come true! Something even better is to get an amount of love from the people who do and don’t follow my blog. When I first started, I didn’t think I would have as much as I do now. I know the number of people who follow me isn’t much, but it’s more than I could ever ask for. And to me, it doesn’t really matter how many people follow my blog. It started out as me wanted to share my work with anyone who wants to read it, and it’s going to stay like that.

When creating my blog, I made a very big decision in my life that affected me financially very much. I decided to not get a part time job when I moved to California because I wanted writing to be my main focus. It’s been very hard money wise, but writing as my job has been so much fun. For so long I wanted to do something that I could fully enjoy. Even though there has been a few times when it wasn’t, for the most part it’s been exciting. The main reason I decided not to get a part time job is because I wouldn’t really have time to do all of my writing, online classes, and now my YouTube channel. Once again, it’s been hard to receive such little money for the work that I’ve done, but I know in the future it will pay off. You can’t get to the top without starting from somewhere.

I have my whole life ahead of me and things can change, but for now, I like where I’m at. If there’s any advice I can give to someone who is placed in my same situation, go for it. If you have a good plan, then do it. Doing something you are passionate about will take you a longer ways than doing something you don’t like. But again, plan this all out before making any serious  decisions.

Thank you to all of those who have been following me on my writing path and I hope to continue to see you there, as well as many others to come. Much love and appreciation goes to you all, thank you!
