TBR and Book Recommendations #1

Welcome to my first TBR and book recommendations! For the past four or five years, I’ve been watching these kinds of videos and I love them very much because of all the new options I have. And so I am here to do the same for all of you because I know the same exciting feeling to hear about new and different books.

My January TBR isn’t the biggest due to some life changes, but reading is good regardless the amount. So the first and only book I have for this month is Cress by Marissa Meyer. This is the third installment of The Lunar Chronicles. This one revolves around Cinder, Captain Thorne, Scarlet, Wolf, and new comer, Cress.

I don’t want to give a whole lot away other than that this series has been nothing but upbeat and one thing to the next. This is a world full of fairy tales and sci fi mixed together at the perfect rate. I’ve only read a few chapters, but I know it’s going to be awesome just like the rest.

As for my book recommendations, I’m going to try my best to recommend books that are similar to an extent. The first one is The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. This was the first book series that really made me love the futuristic worlds. If you’re a lover this and tension of not knowing what’s next, I really recommend it.

The second book series is The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner. This is another futuristic world and it’s a little more on the sci fi-ish side. The Hunger Games is revolved a little more on survival and fighting, whereas this series is the same but involves more of a tech and science to the problems in the books.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my first post of my TBR and book recommendations of January 2017! I can’t wait to post more as well as read more this year. Remember to keep on reading!
