On The Daily #67

Good day everyone! I hope you are having a jolly day as I am. For today’s Disney word, it’s from a very well known classic with actors Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dike. I bet you know what it is! The word is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. You may think that this was just a made up word, but it does have a meaning not only in the movie but in real life as well. This word means extraordinarily good or wonderful. If you’re brave enough, take this word out for a spin and see what the reactions are, as I’d think they’d be pretty funny 🙂

Much love, Chloe ❤

Life Talk #13

Happy Friday ya’ll! Has your last week of March been full of fun and joy? I sure hope it has, as we enter into April, where I hope more fun comes to you. For myself, I finally went to see the live action Beauty and the Beast. If you haven’t seen it already, please go and watch it. It is just like the original animation, but much more powerful and beautiful. In this version you get to feel more emotion with all of the characters and see why exactly what they’re doing. And personally, I think this movie showed a lot of unanswered questions as well. I won’t spoil, but you get to see why the beast was so mean and rude, how and why Belle’s mother died, the in depth relationships of the servants/ antiques, and so much more. This was truly a beautiful film and is worth every second of watching it. And it’s great for all ages!

There isn’t much more for me to talk about other than wishing you a good start to April. Remember that life can be short, but to make it longer, you have to live in each and every moment. Be brave, beautiful, and strong!

As always, much love, Chloe ❤

Arrrgh matey! I hope you’re doing well on this wonderful Thursday. Can you take any guesses as to what the word of the day will be? If you’re thinking pirates, you’re so close! The word is savvy. This word was used in the all time favorite, Pirates of the Caribbean. If don’t use pirate talk on the daily, savvy means to have the ability to make good judgement.

If you want to talk just like Jack Sparrow, use savvy!

Much love, Chloe ❤

In today’s Disney word of the day will be about food, but more specifically, a dish. This is well known in France since the 18th century. Any guesses what it may be? The dish is Ratatouille! Coincidentally the Disney Pixar movie is called Ratatouille as well. In The movie, we saw how much time and intercity it took to make this meal for the food critique, but this dish can be quite easy if you’re used to making home cooked meals.

I hoped you enjoyed this one, and try to make this meal out yourself!

Today’s Disney word comes from a tale of a street rat and princess finding true love, Aladdin! The word is saltan. If you don’t remember when this word was used, it’s Jasmine’ father place in their kingdom. A saltan is basically a ruler and means authority, strength, and rulership. Thus, Jasmine’s father was the ruler of the land Agrabah, which would be later handed to Aladdin after he and Jasmine married.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Much love, Chloe ❤

DISNEY WORD OF THE DAY!!!

To start off this week’s theme of Disney word of the day, I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of just telling you words that you could use instead of another, I thought sharing words that most people probably don’t know the meaning of.

Today’s word is giza buyabo. This is from the broadway musical version of The Lion King. And what this basically means is I will return. At that point of the musical, Nala was saying how she needed to go and do something. She could no longer sit and follow orders when she knew something better was awaiting her.

TBR and Book Recommendations #4

Alright, so some updates I wanted to finally tell you all. So I didn’t read this past month, which I know is super terrible, but I have kind of a good excuse. So I wanted to get Winter in paperback like I did for all the others, but once I ordered it I didn’t realize it was coming all the way from the UK. And that then leads me to it taking almost a month getting to me. But it didn’t say that I at first because it could have come a week after as well. So once it came, it didn’t click to me that it was going to be a UK version either. After that I just decided to not read since it was almost going to be April.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, the book I will be reading for sure in the month of April will be Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. I took a pretty long break from the last book, but I’m finally getting back into it!

This book follows Mare as she has escaped in the first book. And now she is trying to become stronger with others, her powers, and her will. This book seems like it’s the one most books like this have where the rebellion is getting bigger and stronger. I can’t wait to read this book and feel free to read along with me!

As for book recommendations, I think I’ve already said the Lunar Chronicles, but if I haven’t, there a great series to read as well! They’re different in the aspect of the future and time, but they’re the same with a strong female lead and certain people having powers and others not. I personally think it’s a good series if you’re into a strong futuristic female lead. Something else is that there are four books in the series and two others that talk about a different character.

I hope you join me on reading Glass Sword, but if not, read anything. Remember to keep on reading everyone!

For today’s Disney word of the day is wingapo. I’ll give you a moment to figure it out. This word is from one of my favorites, Pocahontas. If you can’t remember what exactly this word means, this was her tribe’s way of greeting others, more specifically, hello. So, if you’re up for  a new way of saying hello, try out wingapo!

To end this week’s worth of goals, I’d like to talk about staying true to yourself. I believe that all of us have and will change, but not for ourselves. We will change because of someone else who we may think is better than us. For example, In the past few years I’ve seen so many girls wear makeup, which made me want to wear makeup. But girls today wear lots and lots of makeup. I used to want to jump in on the wagon and wear all the makeup in the world, even if I couldn’t get it quite right. I then started to decrease what I would wear. And then I realized that makeup doesn’t make me feel happy the way it does for other girls. At the end of the day I would look different when I washed the makeup off and I didn’t really feel that clean even though I washed it all off. So I took it into my own hands and decided to not wear makeup anymore. After doing so, I felt more confident in my skin and I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

So if you want to stay true to yourself, stop doing the things that don’t make you happy and start doing the ones that do! No one has ever said that they got where they wanted to be by not doing what they loved.

Please, please, please, always strive to your goals and never ever let anyone define how you’re going to get to them. Be yourself and stay true, for those two things will never cease to amaze you in what life has to offer.

As always, much love, Chloe ❤

I won’t touch on this too much, since I’ve talked about it so many times, but my writing is a constant goal that never seems to vanish.

My writing journey has only begun and can be very hard for a business and job. Sometimes it can even feel like what you’re writing is nonsense and you should just quite right there, but you CAN’T do that.

Since I’m at the beginning years of writing I have to remind myself what I’m doing and why. Then I have to tell myself what I’m doing good at and to keep doing it. It goes into a cycle on repeat. Though I know that I’m not anyone special, I tell myself everyday that I am and personally when I think it, I really do feel like I am. And that’s what makes me want to write posts like these everyday. I always think here and there I should just stop, but what’s the fun in a journey that’s easy? When I grow old, I want to be able to tell my children my wild and crazy journey of writing in hopes that I can inspire them to pursue their dreams. Our dreams will never stop, so we have to take care of some of them ourselves.

Have a great day everyone and remind yourself that you’re someone special and you can do whatever your heart desires.

As always, much love, Chloe
