Writing Advice #5

Discouragement always seems to come around right when you have the most of your confidence. And we all know that being discouraged will be your worst nightmare. For myself, I have been discouraged a number of times. It’s like someone taking a knife to your chest until it can’t go any deeper. And with each time, I try my best to get right back up, as should you when you’re trying to write your best. There’s only one person who’s said it to my face, but we all know that there are a handful of others who will judge you. And sometimes they’ll say it right to your face. It’s hard but you have to keep writing no matter what. If writing is your passion and you want to make whatever you want out of it, go for it. There’s no need for someone to discourage you, but they will. What for? I’m not sure. Even if they try to tear you down relentlessly, keep writing.

This is the only way I can tell you, but just keep writing. If you have to keep telling yourself, then do it.

I hope this gave you a little more confidence in your writing. I couldn’t tell it a better way, so I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m just repeating myself. But remember to keep your head up and write!

Much love, Chloe ❤
