OTD #281 Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope everyone has their costume and is ready for all the spooks and candy 🙂

Putting aside all the fun talk, I hope you’ve enjoyed my Halloween themed posts. And as always on holidays, I like to know just a little bit more about what the holiday really is about. Growing up, we’re taught about it, but we aren’t really taught about the details… Nonetheless, I have a link at the end for you to know a little bit more 🙂

I hope all of you have a great Halloween and if you’re going trick-or-treating, be safe and have fun!

Much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #280 What are you being for Halloween this year??

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope Halloween weekend was fun and exciting! Mine was a little boring on the side of Halloween related things but that’s because of poor planning. I actually had some things in mind for this past weekend but sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s totally fine 🙂 One of those did include going to a haunted forest so, I didn’t luck out too much. Nonetheless, it was still fun to see everyone’s halloween costumes and I can’t wait for tomorrow to see EVERYONE’S!! I love dressing up and seeing others dress up as well, so this’ll be lots of fun! Sadly, where I live I won’t be able to hand out candy, as Trunk-or-Treat is getting quite popular nowadays. But that won’t stop me from eating my own candy and sweet treats 🙂

Have you decided what you’re going to be for halloween yet? I mean, it’s tomorrow, so you should have, right? No worries, last minute costume planning is always a must when you want to look your best. Me on the other hand, I haven’t decided what yet. I have a few to pick from and I just want to be all of them, haha! But once tomorrow comes, I’m sure I’ll know the minute I wake up.

Tell me in the comment section what you’re going to be or if you’re not, what your dream costume would be! I’d love to hear about it!

Much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #279 Find that happiness of yours!

Since I dedicate Sundays towards positive affirmations and haven’t done one in a while, I’d like to take some time and do just that now.

As I’m writing this, I’m feeling so grateful and happy. It’s actually almost overwhelming with the amount of gratefulness that I feel. I can’t tell you how amazing of a feeling this is but it’s just what everyone needs all the time. So, if you aren’t already, find something that gives you the kind of gratitude I’m talking about and cherish it. Take in deep breaths and exclude yourself from all the bad to bring in the good that thing is giving you. Let whatever it is take over and just explode with happiness.

Even though it’s very easy, don’t take things for granted and remember that you have at your very own fingertips what makes you the happiest.

Continue to spread love and kindness.

As always, much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #278 Someone new to fangirl over!!

So today I wanted to take a little break away from the Halloween posts and talk about a new favorite. I’ve already mentioned him on my Life Talk post yesterday… Do you remember?… It’s Paul Anka!

I know I’m super duper late to the game, but I love discovering new artist that have that Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli type of style. That music has had a special place in my heart for a long time and will continue 🙂

The songs I like the most of his are Put Your Head on My Shoulder and Tonight my Love, Tonight. Those two give me that classic romantic date vibe and they’re just too precious to not love. Also if you haven’t seen it, watch Paul’s live performance of Put Your Head on MY Shoulder. It’s incredibly sweet and if you’re into old vintage stuff, this is definitely a must watch.

Anyways, I just wanted to fangirl a little bit and since I have a place to showcase it, why not introduce it some people too?

Have a good rest of your weekend!

Much love,

Chloe ❤

Life Talk #43

Happy Friday, friends and happy almost Halloween! This month has flown by so much. There’s still so much that I want to do but time is running out quickly.. Oh well, who says you can’t do fun Halloween things after Halloween?

Let’s just say this week was way less productive than the last. I really did try my best, but yet again, my sleeping schedule is all out of whack still. I basically only go the essentials done, haha! But today is a whole different story. I put on a Halloween inspired outfit and couldn’t be more happy with how it’s turned out. Like I’ve said before, having an outfit that compliments how I want to feel that day really helps brighten my mood as well as conquered the day. Something else exciting is that I found a new old singer who I’ve fallen in love with… Ever heard of Paul Anka? Well, his music is pretty good if you’re into Frank Sinatra esc music. Ever since the 6th grade I’ve been into that kind of music and it’s been the best choice since finding my style of music! So you could say I feel like a vintage doll right now 🙂

Like I said before, this week lacked a lot of work that needed to be done, but I guess what matters is that I had some fun, right? I tried to do some work stuff but ultimately ended up just writing my posts and nothing else. So that left a lot of room for other stuffs, like carving pumpkins and finding new artists to listen to 😉 It seems like the only day that’s been productive is today and it’s only 10 right now, haha! Let’s see, I guess I only have a few things done but that’s way more than this whole week. If you want to, check out my You’tube channel, as I uploaded on there today as well. I uploaded my vlog from last weekend when I went to the Tanaka Farms, the Hello Kitty Cafe and a few other fun places in Irvine. My channel name is Chloe Akemi, if you didn’t know 🙂

As for this weekend, I really want to do something scary like going to a haunted house or someplace abandoned but I still haven’t figured that out yet! And the weekend is literally almost here… I’m sure I’ll figure something spoopy out, hehe! What about you guys? Hopefully there are some things planned to get into the Halloween spirit. Nonetheless, if you don’t have anything planned, just pop in a scary movie, listen to some creepy pastas or try a spooky game or two.

Anyways, that’s all I have for now. I hope you all have a great weekend and make the best of it!

As always, much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #277 Is there and overload of pumpkin things?

Pumpkin flavored anything is a must for everyone during the months of October and November. If you go out, you’ll most likely see something pumpkin spice or just plain ol’ pumpkin flavored or scented. So what are your thoughts on the overwhelming amount of pumpkin stuff? I personally don’t mind it because it’s much different than just see flowers everyday. Don’t get me wrong, flowers are cool and all, but I feel like other than the few months out of the year, we don’t really get to see anything else different than flowers. So it’s really fun to see all the different pumpkin themed things during this short time.

This year I carved a pumpkin for the first time in a several years. I did a really cute jack-o’-lantern with a star and a moon as it’s eyes and the fun smile with two teeth. And Zach did a Yat Yas one (just google yat yas, haha!). Oh, and of course we got our puppy, Tiberius a puppy set and put them into an adorable small white pumpkin. If you want to see them, check out my instagram at chloeakemi!

So, what are your thoughts? I personally like pumpkin flavored things and really like carving pumpkins as well 🙂

Much love,

Chleo ❤

OTD #276 Creepy people out there..

I know this isn’t necessarily only during the Halloween time but it’s also nice to make us a little more scared during this time of the year too 😉 Anyways, let’s get into it!

Have any of you ever gotten into a scary situation where you look back and are like, why the heck did I do that?! Not just a mistake you made, a situation where you were honestly scared for your life and or others. I’ve never been in those situations before, so I can’t say much but the stories I have heard make me want to stay at home even more so.

There have been crazy stories like craigslist ads where you go and it seems like someone wants you and not the product you were coming for. Or situations like going someplace where you know you shouldn’t be going at all but your curiosity has the best of you.

The only times I’ve ever even felt something like that has only been since I moved to California, haha! Let’s just say there are strange characters out here.

The first time I felt something strange happen was walking through town later at night. Zac and I were playing Pokemon Go and I said for us to stop and turn away towards the street. I said this because I saw this man coming towards us and it seemed like he was homeless and he didn’t look like the nicest either. Low and behold, I was right. I made the mistake of making eye contact with him as he was about to pass us and he stopped. He began to say really strange things to Zach that didn’t make any sense, was standing very close to his face and his tone was like he was angry at us like we did something to set him off. I didn’t want anything to escalate so I grabbed Zach’s arm and pulled him away and we just walked away. Looking back, it was probably a homeless man who had too much sun and just said strange stuff in general but in the moment, it was so weird and creepy. To make matters even worse, when he was talking, I saw white stuff fly out of his mouth… yuck!

Let’s all just agree that a lot of homeless people can rude and really strange. Not all of them are like the ones you see on the YouTube videos where they’re kind. If you live in a place where you see a lot of them, you start to notice that they can be greedy and plain weird.

If you have any creepy stories you’d like to tell, leave it in the comments section and I’d be glad to read them!

Much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #275 Any scary book suggestions??

Just wanted to let you all know that there won’t be a book review today because I just haven’t been into reading lately but I’m trying my best to find books that’ll lead me back into the hobby I love so much! Until then, leave some good book suggestions down below 🙂 Anyways, let’s get into the today’s post!

Since I’m always looking for new books to read, I wanted to know what are some of your favorite scary books. The most scary books I’ve ever read were The Goosebumps series and I don’t recall them being that scary, haha! Other than those I don’t really even know any popular books. Well, there are the Stephen King books but I’m lucky if I can stay focused on a 500 page book, let alone a 1,000+ page book. So I’ll just stick to the movies.

Anyways, let me know in the comment section! I really like reading what your guy’s thoughts are (and that just sounded like I’m desperate to have internet friends…). Okay, I’m embarrassing myself.. You get what I mean, hopefully.

Have a great rest of your humpday 🙂

Much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #274 Is the ouija board real???

What are your thoughts on ouija boards? Do you think they’re real, a scam or the right people have to use them?

I personally think they’re real but the right people have to use them. If you go to YouTube and search ouija board, lots and lots of videos will pop up of their experience, and most of them are the same. A lot of people regret using them, as not the best of things happen to them afterwards. For myself, I’ve delved into them a number of times and nothing has EVER happened. I know it can be bad to go into something this wishing something would happen, but I don’t want any bad spirits coming into my life. I simply always go into it wanting nothing but a conversation who wants their story told to someone. Furthermore, I’ve tried this one board multiple times and in different areas, a couple of them mysterious feeling too. Thus, this is why I think the board only works with certain people. Moreorless, ones who are more intune with the spirit world and what that has to offer.

So has your opinion changed or are you still stuck on that it isn’t real? Please tell me below 🙂

Stay spooky, friends!

Much love,

Chloe ❤

OTD #273 Sanrio Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch!

Happy Monday, everyone! Well more like happy Monday, everyone. Because we all know Monday’s are the worst. But to brighten your day, I’ll tell you a joke.

Why can’t you tell secrets in a corn field? Because there’s too many ears! Get it?

Haha, okay, I’m done 😉

This past weekend I went to the Tanaka Farms in Irvine, and my do I have nothing but good things to say about them! To begin, I did not do any of the extras, just the pumpkin patch and corn maze, but those two alone are amazing in themselves. If you’re wondering, there was a wagon ride, petting zoo and some games and activities, as well as food and refreshments.

The pumpkin patch was pretty big and had a nice array of pumpkins to choose from. Oh, I’m forgetting the most fun part. This year, the Tanaka Farms partnered up with Sanrio and it’s themed that throughout the entirety. Which gives you a number of photo ops! If you’re interested in seeing some, check out my instagram at chloeakemi.

I’ve never been to a pumpkin patch or a corn maze and the corn maze was definitely a nice starter! Obviously it’s not going to be too hard but nonetheless it was still pretty fun.

Something else that I thoroughly enjoyed was their little farmers market/store! There they had many and different crops they grew and some homemade goods, such as salsa, honey, sweet breads and sourdough breads. I had a the pumpkin bread and the garlic sourdough bread and they were so good! The pumpkin especially because it’s so moist! They also had some Sanrio themed items, like t shirts, pins and stickers.

Overall, the Tanaka Farms was a blast and definitely recommend going there if you have the chance!

Oh and they have limited parking, so grab a parking pass online as soon as possible. But those are only for the weekends, the weekdays are totally fine.

Do you like going to pumpkin patches? Tell me down below!

Much love,

Chloe ❤
